My New Keyboard Obsession – And a Little German Confusion
Hey everyone! So, I’m Liam, and I’ve been living in Berlin for about six months now. It’s… intense! The city is amazing, the food is incredible, and the people are, well, they’re interesting, let’s just say. I’m working as a freelance translator – mostly legal stuff – and it’s keeping me busy, but honestly, sometimes I just need a bit of a distraction. That’s how I stumbled across this crazy keyboard thing.
Hallo! Hast du schon von diesem neuen Keyboard gehört?
My friend Max – he’s a student at the Freie Universität – was talking about it the other day. He said, “Hallo! Hast du schon von diesem neuen Keyboard gehört?” (Hello! Have you heard about this new keyboard?). I said, “Hallo Max! Nein, was ist das?” (Hello Max! No, what is it?). He started explaining this keyboard he’d read about, and it all started with this link: [Read More
It’s this Kisnt KN85 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard. Apparently, it looks really cool – a retro design, you know? And people are saying the gaming performance is pretty good. I’ve even seen it on Amazon! I really like the look of it. But, honestly, I’m not sure it’s actually good for gaming. The description sounds pretty good, but I’ve also read some negative comments about the keys. Someone said they felt a bit “hart” (hard). Another one said they had “Probleme mit der Reaktionsfähigkeit” (problems with responsiveness). It’s always a bit worrying when things seem too good to be true.
Ach, da hast du recht! Das ist ein Tippfehler von mir.
My friend Max pointed out something important. “Ach, da hast du recht! Das ist ein Tippfehler von mir.” (Oh, you’re right! That’s a typo of mine.) I’d completely misinterpreted the link! It wasn’t that keyboard, it was a link to a Bluetooth speaker – a SoundCore, actually. Oops! It’s a good reminder to double-check everything.
But the reviews for the keyboard itself are generally positive, especially because of the connectivity. Someone wrote, “Die Konnektivität ist wirklich gut” (The connectivity is really good). That’s definitely a plus, especially since I’m trying to get used to all the different apps and devices around here. It’s a small thing, but it makes a difference.
I’m always a little skeptical of new products like this. You know? It’s easy to get excited about something that looks cool, but then it doesn’t actually work well.
Maybe I should take a look at it if it’s on sale. (Maybe I should take a look at it if it’s on sale?). That makes sense. I’m on a student budget, you know!
Ich finde das Retro-Design wirklich ansprechend.
I really like the retro design. It feels a bit like something you’d find in a classic German gaming bar – you know, with all the flashing lights and intense music!
Ich bin gespannt, wie es sich spielt!
I’m really curious to see how it plays.
Definitiv!
Definitely! I’m going to take a closer look at the keyboard myself.
Vielleicht brauchen wir ja beide eins!
Maybe we could both get one! That would be cool, right? I’ll have to do some more research and see what the price is.
