My First Dive into German Tech: The KN85 Keyboard and Beyond
Okay, so things are… settling in here in Berlin. It’s amazing, honestly, but also a lot. I’m working as a freelance translator, mostly online, and I’m trying to build up my social life – which is proving to be a little trickier than I expected. But hey, progress! And today, I stumbled across something that really caught my eye, something that’s actually helped me brush up on my German, which is a good start.
That Keyboard: Die KN85
It all started with this keyboard – the Kisnt KN85. You know, the one everyone’s talking about on Amazon? Hallo, hast du schon die neue Kisnt KN85 Tastatur gesehen? I saw it online and thought, “Wow, that looks cool!” It’s a retro style, which I really like. I spend so much time on my computer, you know, working and, of course, playing games. I really need a good keyboard – a wireless mechanical one sounded perfect.
I was talking to my colleague, Thomas, the other day, and he was saying, “Ich brauche eine gute Tastatur, um meine Spiele zu spielen.” He was telling me about this keyboard and how precise the keys are. “Die Tasten sind sehr präzise,” he said. And they’re not cheap! It’s definitely an investment.
Chatting About It (and Making Mistakes!)
I was looking at the Amazon page – Read More – and I was trying to read the reviews, but honestly, it was a bit overwhelming. I kept getting lost in all the technical jargon. I kept wanting to say, “Was bedeutet das?” (What does that mean?)
I asked Thomas, “Was ist ‘Tastenkürzel’?” (What is ‘shortcut’?) He just laughed and said, “Ach, das ist nur eine Abkürzung!” (Oh, it’s just an abbreviation!). It’s silly, but these little things trip me up all the time.
More Than Just a Keyboard
And then, I saw these SoundCore Bluetooth speakers they were offering alongside the keyboard. Ich glaube, ich schau mir die SoundCore Bluetooth Lautsprecher an, die auch angeboten werden. I thought, “Why not?” I need some decent speakers for my tiny apartment.
Next Steps
I’m planning on ordering the KN85. I’m going to take a closer look at the reviews – Ich schaue mal, wie die Reviews sind. Hopefully, they’re as good as they look. I’m a bit nervous, to be honest. It’s a bit of an investment for someone who’s just starting out here.
I’m really trying to improve my German, though. Every time I research something – like this keyboard – I’m learning new vocabulary and phrases. Ich hoffe, ich lerne viel Deutsch! (I hope I learn a lot of German!)
It’s a good reminder that making mistakes is part of the process. Fehler sind wichtig! (Mistakes are important!) And who knows, maybe this new keyboard will be the start of something even better. Viel Glück! (Good luck!)
