I moved here six months ago for a job as an English teacher, and honestly, the biggest surprise hasn’t been learning German (though that’s been a brutal workout!), it’s been seeing how deeply ingrained “systems” are everywhere – from my local Bäckerei to the city’s public transport.

The Initial Confusion – ‘Projekt’ vs. ‘Produkt’

When I first started researching this topic for the IELTS, everything felt so abstract. I kept getting lost in jargon about “data platforms” and “technology projects.” My initial instinct was just to agree with the statement because… well, why wouldn’t it? Then, you’d use examples – maybe referring back to my coffee shop or school experiences – to illustrate your point. The key is showing you understand that a platform isn’t just about creating something; it’s about sustaining and evolving it for maximum benefit.

A Small Victory – My German is Improving (Slightly!)

I still make mistakes constantly – “Ich brauche ein ‘Support-Team’!” (“I need a ‘support team!’”) makes me cringe, but I’m learning.
