My New Keyboard Obsession: A Berlin Perspective

Okay, so this is kind of weird, but I’ve gotten completely hooked on this keyboard. It all started with Alice, who I met at the Werkkunst collective in Kreuzberg – you know, the one with the really cool, quirky exhibitions? We were just chatting about games, and she mentioned this keyboard – the Kisnt KN85 – and it just… clicked. It’s definitely a tech thing, I know, but honestly, I’m learning so much just trying to talk about it.

What Is This Thing?

Basically, it looks like a super-retro arcade keyboard, like the ones you’d find in an old game room. But it’s all Bluetooth, which is pretty genius. I saw it on Amazon – the link is: [Read More It looks pretty cool, right?

Talking about it with Alice

“Hallo! Hast du schon mal von diesem neuen Keyboard gehört?” I asked Alice. “Hallo! Nein, was für ein Keyboard?” she replied.

“Ich habe gerade über das Kisnt KN85 gehört. Es hat einen klassischen Retro-Design und gleichzeitig moderne Gaming-Performance. Ich finde es ganz interessant.” I explained.

“Oh, wirklich? Wie sieht das denn genau aus?” she asked, genuinely curious.

I showed her the Amazon page. “Es sieht ziemlich cool aus, wie ein altes Arcade-Keyboard, aber mit Bluetooth!” I said. “Was denkst du?”

“Ja, das sieht echt gut aus! Ich spiele oft gerne Retro-Spiele, und ein kabelloses Keyboard klingt super. Die Bluetooth-Verbindung ist ein Plus. Genau! Und die mechanischen Tasten sollen auch sehr gut sein, oder?” she asked, her eyes widening. “Ja, das habe ich gelesen. Es soll ein gutes Feedback geben und ist sehr robust.”

My Thoughts (and a little confusion)

I’ve only just looked at the link, but it seems like a really good deal. It’s not super cheap, but it seems worth it. I was thinking about buying it, actually. I’ve been struggling to find a decent keyboard for my laptop, and this looks perfect for gaming.

“Hast du eine bestimmte Tastenbelegung im Sinn, wenn du es benutzt?” I asked. “Ich hätte gerne eine Programmierung, damit ich die Tasten nach meinen Bedürfnissen anpassen kann. Das wäre super!”

Learning More

I was thinking about this programming thing. Maybe I could set up a macro for my favourite game, Fallout. That would be amazing. I really need to do some more research on this. It’s kind of exciting! Ich denke, ich muss noch ein bisschen mehr darüber lernen.

Letzte Woche, Ich versuchte mich auf Deutsch zu erklären, aber es war schwer! “Die Tasten sind mechanisch. Das bedeutet, sie geben ein hörbares Klick-Geräusch ab.” Es ist immer noch schwierig für mich, alle diese neuen Wörter zu lernen! (The keys are mechanical. That means they make a noticeable click sound.) It’s still hard for me to learn all these new words!

It’s going to be a learning process, but I’m really excited to try out this keyboard and see if it lives up to the hype. Maybe I’ll even impress Alice with my newfound German tech knowledge. Hoffentlich! (Hopefully!)
